    SEO is one of the most important aspects of web promotion. When a post or article goes live, the aim of the writer is to get these contents to reach as many viewers as possible. One good way of achieving this is by optimizing your posts or article so that they appear on top search results on search engines. This process could be done in two ways which are;

    ·         On-page SEO
    ·         Off-page SEO

    On-page SEO involves the idea of using optimized titles for your posts, optimizing your post url, and using a captivating description. These are the major items that appear on search results and they are very important to helping you rank your posts rank well. On the aspect of articles, using a good title and a perfect article summary could do the on-page job.

    Off-page SEO involves the idea of building traffic and backlinks to your blog post or article. On-page SEO is not all that is needed to give you top search engine visibility that's why off-page SEO is very important. Getting traffic and backlinks to your post could be very simple but tricky. But if you are familiar with some of the web promotional methods, you will able to find a way to giving your blog or articles a good audience.

    You can get traffic to your blog or articles by pinging them immediately it is published; then submit them to search engines. Next thing to do is to share them on social networks with your friends, fans, and/or followers. As the traffic builds, you need to build backlinks to these links. Blog commenting is one of the easiest ways I've found to convert in this aspect. Commenting on blogs with a high pagerank as well as the .edu and .gov blogs would help boost rankings. Social bookmarking, link trading, RSS feed submission, social media promotion and the likes are also highly converting ways to boost your articles or posts.

    One powerful aspect that must not be left out is video promotion. They tend to also convert very quick. If you can create videos relating to your article or post and share on video sharing sites, chances of getting high traffic is high.

    In all, talking about ways to optimize your post could lead to an exhaustive list. Taking action to build links and traffic is the most necessary thing. If you'd need more light on optimizing your blog post, watch out for my next update on "how to optimize posts published on blogger".

    Yeah, publishing a blog post and waiting for it to go viral just doesn't happen. Optimizing it On-page and Off-page, as you pointed out, is a must. Getting backlinks is definitely a tricky issue. And we should emphasize more on the quality than the quantity of the incoming links.

    Clearly pointed out Binny. The quality of links are of utmost importance and generating them could be a bit tricky. If the right steps are being followed, posts and articles are sure to rank high and help generate web traffic.

    I constantly find SEO a struggle. It is so important, yet so difficult to implement. I think it is one of those things we need to read, study and read again to make sure it sinks in. I guess the golden rule is...if you think you are doing enough on page and off page SEO....you probably are not...lol.

There's so much to do in terms of SEO and the list never seems endless. Just make the most of what you can and you'd enjoy your blog's progress.
